In this episode of CSN the coaches talk to Santa Clara Head Coach Jerry Smith about this career arc, handling the development of rising national team superstars, becoming an elite college program, and what it’s like to have a World Cup superstar spouse.  They answer listener questions and discuss the proposed bubble for the 2021 NCAA tournament. The Big Deal pops in to recap the weekend slate of games, Brian’s weekly bracket update, and the disappointing loss by the men’s U-23 team.  Coach Matt’s new chess obsession is the basis for this week’s Power 5 and they close out the show with a restaurant recommendation in Tallahassee.

College Soccer Nation Ep 25: Training Incoming Talent with Brian Moore

In this SILVER episode of CSN, the coaches talk to Brian Moore, the Director of the ECNL National Academy Girls Program on his career coaching and developing local and national players. They start the show answering listener questions then they talk to the The Big Deal about the past weeks games and issues associated with the current Soccer Rankings system as well as Brian’s Brackets. The Power Five is basketball oriented and they end the show a new segment called Matt’s Restaurant Recommendations.

In this episode of CSN, the coaches welcome Mississippi State Head Women’s Soccer coach James Armstrong to discuss his journey from Scotland to Starkville. They debut a new segment called “Question the Coaches” to kick off the show. They talk to The Big Deal about COVID’s impact on parity in NCAA Sports and rehash some weekend Women’s soccer results They also ramble on about the RPI, and give a shoutout to BYU head coach Jennifer Rockwood on her 400^th career win.  The Power 5 has to do with food (shocking) and they end the show with a couple TV suggestions.

College Soccer Nation Episode 22: Mr. 500 with Schellas Hyndman

In this episode of CSN, Chris talks with Hall Of Famer Schellas Hyndman. They discuss Schellas’s journey to America as a young boy from China. Schellas talks about his martial arts training, and his experience in the college soccer. There’s further discussion on coaching in the MLS and the tactics of 4-4-2. Finally Schellas discusses his plans for retirement. The coaches also review the weekend of soccer action across the NCAA, they introduce a new feature called "Tell me something good", and they conclude with a Power 5 that makes the producer quit.
